Norwegian Black Metal from Stavanger, Norway. Abomino Aetas are kindred spirits of the icy olden founders, Mayhem, Burzum and Thorns. The epic atmospheres simmering on the album bleed from a bleak primitivism born from the jaws of hell. This is Norwegian Black metal in its purest form without becoming a mere reflection of the past. Instead the music breathes new life into a scene currently awakening from a long slumber. Abomino Aetas are part of the new third wave of Norwegian Black Metal, alongside Taake, Beastcraft, Koldbrann, Kaosritual and many many more.

This cd is a collection of just some of the bands that make up what I call ‘The Third Wave' of Norwegian Black Metal. Some of the other acts who do not appear are, Sykdom, In Lingua Mortua, Helvetespine, Endezzma, Slavia, Kaosritual, Min Kniv, Skuggehiem, Stillhet, Mare, Nettlecarrier, Arv, Gjenferdsel, Drephjard, Nidingr, to name a few. These relatively underground acts join the big guns [Gorgoroth, Mayhem, Darkthrone] who have kept the scene afloat in recent years, These make up a very exciting new scene in Norway that makes 2007-08 the most productive years of Norwegian Black Metal activity since the mid nineties
