This site was conceived by Crin who was editor of
the UK underground zine Godreah [1993-99] Many Norwegian interviews
featured in the 11 issues of Godreah Zine , [Emperor, Gehenna, Ulver,
Dimmu Borgir, Trelldom, Borknagar, Mayhem, etc [These will be
featured in an archive section on this site eventually]

in 1998, [incidentally the first release was a collaboration with
Unknown Territory distro that has evolved into the
Live4Metal
webzine] and one of the labels releases is the History of English
Occult/Black Metal double cd. Details are

The purpose of this site will eventually be to harness a complete
discography of Norwegian Black Metal.
An A-Z of Norwegian Black metal bands, is under construction. Each
band, each release has been personally acquired and all this sites
written contents are the authors [unless stated]. The 100 Norwegian
band list does not have any releases under two years old, [unless
part of a more established band] even though many recent releases
are worthy of such.
Any mistakes, queries and views can be entertained at

The music is of primary concern; the labels are of no concern at
all. So, there are very few negative insights to the scene here, as
all the bands that inhabit the Norwegian Black Metal scene are
worthy of its existence, and all deserve a listen, no matter how
dreadful the sound, how scarce the recording. |
